Connecting to Wi-Fi internet without a Passphrase; WPS

And so am back with another new thing,  only very few knew or know about this. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). As a mystery burried under your phone settings within the Wi-Fi facility,  comes "wps". Oh yes what is it and what does it do? This is a security setting that is mostly found; as stated, the phone or a Wi-Fi capable device and a Wireless Internet Router that acts as a hot-spot or an access point.
Let's say you visit a friend and they have Wi-Fi internet but "...now a twist lol" only the parent or guardian keeps the password or pin for the Wi-Fi as the intended devices in the house are already configured with a PIN or Password.

Now that being a scenario, you are forced to just scan and find the Wi-Fi name but unable to use the internet while the router itself just seats right there in the open.

New or older router models, have a button labeled "wps" this button was put in place to help people who have difficulties with long passphrases for passwords instead they are required to just turn on their Wi-Fi mode on the handset or device and go to advance settings where it says WPS.

While we have found the setting, it's time to get physical, closer to the Wi-Fi router and seek a bottun that has WPS, a push button. Pressing the button on the router will enable a small window for connection. And now might be a good time to tap WPS on the handset quickly before the short time on the router runs out. Your handset will scan for a new connection in bound and without any struggle it connects to the router.

There you have it an internet connection to the router without a passphrase. Everytime you are inbound the router will always connect you as a trusted guest. But as most of the tech material have a double edged sword.  It is required to point out that during your connection time after pushing the WPS button if anyone else especially an intruder can see the hot-spot and they are trying to get in too, you can have an unauthorized device connecting to the router. Lastly, bear in mind that some routers especially newer models might have everything covered,  a WPS PIN.

This kind of knowledge might come in handy one day, enjoy and feel free to make contact for any feed back or you might want to request an article on your choice of topic.
