There are times when you forget to carry your earphones or headsets. For example you are in a crowded public place, or a minibus, while you are on your trip, you figured to pass time, you play around with WhatsApp. Along the way a colleague sends you a voice note, a VN. But since on this particular day, unfortunately you forgot to carry with you earphones or headsets, which makes it harder to listen to the VN due to the public hearing in on your conversation.
Unknown to most of the WhatsApp users out there is a tiny functionality that let's you have some privacy to your voice note conversation around such public environments.
Did you know you can play voice notes and immediately place your phone to your ear and WhatsApp responds by playing the VN through the earpiece instead of the loudspeaker?
Too late, now its a known fact, you can be anywhere without earphones but still listen to VNs privately through this functionality. Just tap play and quickly as possible mount the phone next to your ear and WhatsApp will do the rest.
Other new features include "dark mode", where you can turn your WhatsApp theme from light to dark and make the whole app look cool while you also conserve the battery.
Another recent new feature is a qrcode but this shall be discussed later in another article.
